Nature - Mariama Gregory

  1. The Talking Trees

I immediately thought these trees would start talking to me...like in a magical forest or something. I know it's weird, but that is my first impression. The green color of the leaves are so vibrant which really works. The chipped tree bark gives the image interest and liveliness...also a sense of age. Overall, i think the exposure is good in certain areas of the image. Nature is wonderful and I'm always amazed at it's beauty. I wonder what caught your eye about these set of trees.

Did you think to get a little lower and possibly shoot straight up the bark or different angles?

Some improvements would be: try different angle and depth of field to add a little more interest and depth to the photograph. Also, the bottom-left corner is a little bright and my eye goes there first. I'm not quite sure what your main focal point is in the picture. The far-right branch seems to be moving forward in the image, but I'm not sure if that's the most interesting. Also, I would cut out the far-left branch. It doesn't do anything for the crop of the image and it's a little blown out. It also looks like you're getting a bit of lens flair as well for shooting into the light source.

I think the image can be a lot more interesting, but I think you're onto something cool with just a tad bit more tweaking.

    Good job!
