This is a photograph of tall lit streetlight. The photographer took the photo from ground level, so we are looking up at the streetlight. In this image we also see a deep blue sky, as well as two trees in the corner and center of the frame. The picture evokes 7:30 p.m. It fits into the work as a whole because it gives another aspect of 7:30 p.m. While many photos are of the time exactly, or of what people are doing at 7:30, this picture actually shows 7:30, in the perspective of nature and routinely things like lit streetlights. At 7:30 p.m., the sky usually begins to get dark, as the sun prepares to set. Because of this, streetlights are scheduled to come on, to lighten neighborhoods and streets. I think this photo is a good interpretation and telling of what 7:30 p.m. is.

What is obviously striking about this photo is the streetlight and heavy glow of light it produces. I think changes in levels really brought this striking light out of the picture, which puts a greater emphasis on the light post as opposed to any other aspect of the photo such as the blueness of the sky or the dark trees that appear in and out of focus. The angle that the picture was taken in is interesting and makes me wonder how the picture would look if the photographer took a few more steps to the right. I think we would get more of the line effect that the light posts would make in the picture, as it would probably divide the frame. I think that this picture shows a good perception of height and lengthiness as we see the tall trees reflect the tall light post, which is underneath a high sky. Very nice job.
