@7:30--Audrey Harman

  1. This was a more literal approach to the 7:30 assignment that some took. I enjoy the depth of field and subject matter of the image. The face is the focus as the pocket reads 7:30 on the dot. The lighting is a bit harsh and this could be because of the reflectivness of the watch and white background bouncing light back. Since the watch has an antique quality to it sepia or black and white might have helped to tone it down slightly. The depth of field coupled with the leading lines of the chain are so wonderful and lend its self to be another interesting piece to look at without taking away from the main focus of the clocks face. This object could also tell a nice story if it were held in someone’s hand or out of a person’s pocket. It looks like it has some history and the viewer might be able to more easily connect to that story if it had that added touch. Telling a story at the moment of 7:30 was the other approach some of the class took. Overall good work!
