  1. Ah Ms. Tolson, of all the work presented in this class, I have admired your photos, technique and approach to the themes. This “selfie” is synonymous with the other self-portrait and some of the other "open to interpretation" themes. I find your approach to them rather startling and awesome. You work has been a lovely standard to meet and maintain and I enjoy being in a class with you. I hope to have more classes with you because your skills are what I tend to see as the standard I should achieve to enter the design field.

Now, I had to look up selfie to understand this assignment so this photo collage reinforces my gushing. I find this interpretation rather fun and ponder if you use the camera as a shield or something. Anyway, this collage is of the photographer typing out her name on a cordless Apple keyboard. The angle shows the row of keys that includes a letter of the photographer’s first name. The photographer‘s finger is in and out of the foreground as they pick out their name. The keyboard’s angle is almost consistent in each photo. While I enjoy the play on this theme, it is kind of boring individually. Together these photos are amusing and cheeky and I like the idea. I think it would be more fun if the keyboard was treated with different colors or if the photographer’s fingernail was seen with cool nail art. I think if these things were fine-tuned, each photo will be able to stand on its own.
