Detail - Michelle Stidham

  1. Color, focus texture, all dead on perfect. I love the use of focus in this picture. It helps to highlight the texture present and give the eye space to wander through before finding the more juicy tid-bits. As far as fitting into the whole of the class assignment for today it certainly does. Michelles' photos always show careful attention to the assignment at hand and an excellent use of her cameras qualities.
    She seems to have mastered the usability of her focus and can manipulate it in ways she sees fit for a great image. The color is clear and vibrant and remind me of an island-pastel palette.
    Michelles work through out this class, all 19 photos so far, have always been strong and demonstrated what I have stated above. Her work tends to be closer detailed shots. This is the area she is most comfortable in and if she feels this way she should continue in and really exploit the close ups. A lot can be found in the world at a closer view point. Theres a whole close up world out there just waiting to be explored.
