I would title this image Summer Sun is Setting – Time to Kick Back. This image tells me that the sun is setting because the sunglasses are depicted in the frame and you do not see them on a person – which indicates that they no longer needed for protection from the sun. I know that it is summer because there are flip-flops in the photo. The person in the photo is specifically wearing reef sandals, which definitely signify summertime to me! I would add “Time to Kick Back” to the title of the image because the person has already taken off their sandals and has one leg crossed in front of the other just resting on the sandals which signifies that they are relaxing.
The composition of this image is working very well for several reasons. I like that there are three main elements to the frame – the legs, the sandals and the sunglasses. The right leg crosses over the right side of the frame which points to the center while the grass outside the sidewalk in angled inward to the right creating a nice meeting point. I also love the green toenails as they play very well off of the teal straps of the sandals and the green of the grass. The image feels very well balanced.
The image could possibly be improved if it were take at a lower angle which a shorter depth of field to blur one element – maybe the grass in the background. Nice work!
