  1. Sugar Rush Slush

I named this photo Sugar Rush Slush because it seems to be a slurpie from 7-11, and one the larger sizes. The slurpie from 7-11 is nothing but ice, food coloring, and sugar combined to make a slushed sugary drink normally for hot days but they are drinking/ate all year round. However this drink is a favorite of kids when the day is hot and they need a cold drink to cool down, which leads to a sugar rush.

This photo tells the story of a child seeking to drink a slurpie on a hot summer day. It seems that the child has already began to drink and stir his/her slurpie and is waiting for the brain freeze that occurred during the big gulp they have taking to fade away before their next drink. This picture evokes memories of when I use to walk to the local 7-11 to get myself a slurpie on a hot day, so I could cool down and continue to play. I remember one day when I ran down with my friends to get slurpies and the machine was broken, this was a day were we could not cool down on a hot summer day. The texture of this photo works well, being able to see the chunks of ice and the consistency of the slurpie, it allows the viewer to notice that the drink is a slurpie rather than fruit punch or a snowball.
