I love banana and peanut butter sandwiches and I’m pretty sure this is the best looking one I have ever seen. With that said, the photo really captures the allure of the perfectly made sandwich, literally making your mouth water (if you like banana and peanut butter sandwiches that is) and when photographing food, that effect is key. I don’t love the edge of the pan in the photo but the angle in which the photo is taken shows the subject well and I would think that takes priority. The colors of the ingredients are flawless, adding to the appeal, and the black of the pan is the perfect backdrop. Comparatively the subject matter fits because it shows what Laperda was doing at 7:30. The fact that she was able to take such a well-composed photo is impressive because she probably had very little time to take it while avoiding burning it or allowing it to get cold before consumption if the pan is off.
There used to be a great little diner type restaurant in Boston that had these on the meu called the "Velvet Elvis" -- just brought back some good memorier!
