Something I Can't Live Without - Jess Moore

  1. It's official, after today my dog hates getting her picture taken. I had to endure an afternoon of her sighing and turning her back whenever I brought the camera to my eye. She's like a kid who purposefully makes a bad face in a photo.

  2. This is an interesting photo Jess. When I first saw this, I thought that it was a blanket, and then I remembered how warm it was outside and realized that that couldn't be it; or maybe a rug, then Eureka a dog's tail, then I saw your post. This dog's coat is well groomed and the lighting shows each color in its coat. The black in the back of the dog tends to stand out more to me especially with the white in the tail as a background. Great depth of field and it even looks as if there was a bit a movement there. The color in the photo is earthy and a little dull, but well blended. The lighting appeared to be indoors with medium light. The composition is vertical and balanced. The focus to me was the dog's coat and the detail of the colors in the coat. The texture in the photo is hairy and a little flat. The photographer captured the sheer beauty of this animal’s coat. I only wished that I could see her face; I’m sure the rest of her is just as beautiful. The mood of the photo appears to be calm and relaxed, mainly because of the colors in the photo, but something tell me that this pooch is not calm at all.
