I would name this photo Tall Palms on the beach. I love palm trees, they are so tall and skinny and give me a warm feeling inside I guess because they usually mean summer, beach, or just a part of the surroundings in paradise. Palm trees always seem to capture my attention because they have so much texture, or maybe I am intrigued because they are different from the trees I see on a day-to-day basis. They are these tall skinny trees with large fan like branches blooming from the top that have a distinct sound in the wind.
I like the way the photo was taken it looks as though the shooter is about eye level to some trees and above others. The cropping is nice in the fact we never see the whole top of the palm trees and this coupled with the various height lead the viewers eye from one side to the other. The photo could be improved upon with the coloring. The sky and top of the palms are blown out. This could be improved upon with a lower iso, higher shutter speed, and higher depth of field this will help cut down the light so the rich colors can be captured. There is so much potential for this photo but with the way the colors are blown out it a bit disappointing that the potential feeling of pure paradise is not capitalized on in this photo.
