This really struck me because of the passing car, which is clearly moving. However, the tree is still and frozen as time and life pass it. Your eyes also see the small light peaking through. I kind of took this as a personal picture because I’ve felt like this in my life. I feel like time was passing and I was still doing the same thing, in the same place, feel very unaccomplished and very alone. Then, there was a light. The tree just has to remember without it, nothing on this earth is possible. I think this is a beautiful shot. I really liked how there is movement and complete stillness in one image. I would however work on what I think it too much sharpness? The light looks a little cartoonish, which if you were going for that look, then you’re fine. ☺
Wow. I like your description. You are not alone. I know the feeling though. I purposly had the light peak through. I gave the image a paiting effect, so that may not be working.
