Boredom -- Alli Hedden

  1. I'm not sure how this relates back to the theme.
It's a bit dark. Bring up your levels/curves.
The composition is interesting. The birds eye view of the shapes keeps our eyes moving through the frame.

  2. “Time Filler”

Rolling coins is one of those items all the way at the end of a “to-do” list. As soon as I saw this image, I smirked and thought, “Been there.”

The only way, for me, that this sad activity would ever get accomplished is by either procrastinating on some other project or being bored and needing to fill up time -- like straightening a bookshelf at work an hour before the end of the day, or the dreaded cleaning out of the fridge. Sometimes it’s just pointless to start something else that late in the game, otherwise you’d have to stay three more hours because you just start to hit your stride.

And of course in my family you’d be looked at funny if you even mentioned CoinStar, because as my Dad says, they take like half your money (which of course isn’t true, but is it worth the argument?).

I agree with Julie that with so many shapes and colors, your eye does move throughout. I might like to see the focus on the coins, because they have such cool detail, or have some more room on the right of the image would possibly add a little more to the mood of bordim. I might also like to see it from another angle. A close-up on the rolls with the coins scattered around them, and the piggybank in the background? Or perhaps have some of the coins flipping out of the end of a roll before you fold it down?
