Note for those who just went huh?: an extender fits on the camera between the body and the lens. It's a poor man's/woman's zoom, a 2x brings everything in twice as close. The 1.4 lens is a lens that has an f-stop that goes as low as 1.4. It gives you virtually no depth of field. As you can see in the image, the only thing really in focus is the edge of some of the pennies.
