    I like the low composition you chose. You really brought me right into the fire hydrant. I believe it’s a fire hydrant. I like that you cut off the top, because it gives the appearance of a cross and the chains reminds me of the crucifixion or something. It looks like outstretch hands drawing you nigh. ☺

    Anyway, your color is awesome. And once again, your texture is great. I think you really brought out the blacks in the chain, which gives the chains more dimension. The light on the hydrant is ok. Initially, I thought it needed a pop of light on the left side. The shadow behind it helps in a strange way. I think you did a good job at not blowing out the background when you exposed for the subject. The subject nicely fills the frame and the background is not distracting away from the subject.

    The picture was shot at a medium depth of field at a straight-on angle. I wonder if you would have shot it from the top or bottom…what type of picture would this display.

    Overall, the focus is great. The tone of the picture is sending a strong signal, because of how the picture is cropped. Good job.
