The image was taken with short depth of field, in a well-lit room that I am assuming is her bedroom. The subject compasses a vibrant pink shirt highlighting that she has an energetic and joyful personality. My first impression is that the subject is both fun and inviting. The angle in which it was taken worked well. What is neat about the picture is the nontraditional mirror design; it is creative because of its wavy sides. What also helps the image is its smooth and clean composition causing the viewer to not be distracted by something like blurriness or in this case a “dirty mirror” lol. Although I believe the only distracting thing about the image are the objects behind her head but overall it is a good piece of work! :)
The idea of the dual self is an interesting one. The reflection is making eye contact with the camera. Does that say something about the subject at this point in her life? The colors are a bit hot. This can be tamed in Levels on Photoshop.
