The picture shows the word misteakes written in black ink on white paper with an eraser in the upper right corner and eraser shavings covering 2/3rds of the picture. The eraser is highlighted and the word "misteakes" is somewhat blurred, but still visible enough to see what it is implied; which the mis-spelling of the word mistakes. The eraser and its shavings are clear and in focus. The clarity of the primary subject (the eraser) leads the viewer to not focus on the mis-spelled word "misteakes" but on the eraser. This picture makes a strong statement. I love the message and the creativity it displays. I could caption this, “Erasers are made for misteakes and mistakes are made for erasers.”
Focus is really nice. The only thing in focus is the eraser and some of the eraser rubbings. You've put the power there, the solution, and not the problem. Creative thinking.

ReplyDeleteLike this shot a lot, both as a photo and sentiment (thanks, Billy Joel).
